The Oxford Science Park appointed Impact to reposition its brand in the Local, National and International markets as part of a launch for future development opportunities at the Park.

Created in 1991 by Magdalen College Oxford, the Park is the oldest and most prestigious Science Park in Oxford and is home to over 60 companies and 2,400 people. With over 450,000 sq ft of high-quality office and laboratory accommodation completed within 75 acres of landscaped grounds, and a further 300,000 sq ft, with outline planning consent, there is now a full focus on the Park’s brand identity and marketing campaigns.

Simply put, the brief was to position the brand as the “Go To” Science Park in the Oxford area.

Impact began the process with research, creating a strategic approach to the brand, identifying the market and the extent of the competitions offering.

Among the many elements the strategy identified, was the need to be more vocal on the associations the Park has to Magdalen College and how those associated values will directly benefit its occupiers.

Secondly, the significantly beautiful environment, hosting a wealth of convenient amenities was identified as a key benefit to help occupiers assist in the well-being of their team. Both important and unique benefits the Park had over its competition.

This, and many other elements of the strategy were then developed around a new, and soon to be iconic, brand headed by the “O”, a symbol representing its Oxford values, soon to become synonymous with the Park and all it represents.

The strategy and brand identity were launched in March 2016 headed by a significant and ground-breaking responsive website and a full suite of launch and corporate material.

Other marketing collateral is currently in development as the brand transition begins.

The brand was launched to 200 VIP guests at the Parks 25th Anniversary event held at the Sadler Building, the Parks event venue on March 9th 2016.

The ambitious plans for the Parks future and the new brand identity have been extremely well received and we believe this project has indeed made The Oxford Science Park the “Go To” brand in Oxford.
